This year marks the Year of the Horse, a symbol of action, freedom, speed, and breakthrough. For those born in 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, or 2026, it’s your year. In this project, I explored a blend of typography and visual experimentation. Which allowed me to experiment freely and rethink how different styles can interact. At the same time, I aimed to bring a contemporary sensibility into an older cultural tradition, creating work that feels both rooted in heritage and alive in the present.
For this project, I explored a mix of typography and visual styles while drawing inspiration from my Chinese heritage. These designs will be showcased as postcard prints at my upcoming grad show this April. Something for people to take home, keep, and remember this year by!
